Our research approach is designed to help management judge both the finding and the strength of the information behind it. A confident sentence is not a substitute for a supporting source.
SOURCE DISCIPLINE
What a useful research trail contains.
- The source, publication or record date, and access date where relevant.
- The entity, product, geography and period to which a finding applies.
- A distinction between primary records, company claims and third-party reporting.
- Conflicting evidence, unavailable records and limitations that affect interpretation.
- A clear separation of observed facts, interpretations and assumptions.

AI helps with the work. It is not the evidence.
AI tools can help organise questions, compare text and explore possible explanations.
Material conclusions need supporting sources or identified client inputs. We do not treat generated citations, summaries or model confidence as independent proof.
Sensitive client documents require an agreed handling approach before being processed with external tools. Initial enquiries should exclude confidential attachments, personal identifiers and trade secrets.
REMOTE RESEARCH LIMITS
An unavailable answer remains an open question.
Public records vary in accessibility, coverage and freshness. A clean search result does not prove an absence of disputes or misconduct. Registration does not prove capability. Certification does not establish every product’s origin.
Physical inspection, laboratory testing, formal audits, legal opinions and regulated advice require the appropriate separate scope and expertise. We identify these needs instead of presenting desk research as equivalent verification.
